Got a Hot Project ? Look for Seek Thermal at Home Depot

Post by Tim LeBeau, VP of Sales at Seek Thermal

It’s been six months since we released our Seek Thermal camera and I am truly amazed by the hundreds of different ways people have found to use it.  Some of the most cited uses have been around home improvement and construction applications.  From finding leaks around doors, HVAC issues, identifying drafty windows or seeing electrical problems, use in an around the home have allowed thousands of people to see the unseen.

With these applications in mind, I am proud to share the news that the Seek camera is available at 400 Home Depot stores nationwide and online at Home Depot is the world’s largest home improvement specialty retailer and their support of Seek Thermal is an important step to providing high performance, low-cost thermal products to the construction and home improvement space.  We are proud to partner with such an established and well-known retailer to make our products available to a large new audience that will benefit from our technology that previously cost several thousand dollars.

Seek Thermal and Raytheon win Prism Award for Photonics Innovation

Post by Tim Fitzgibbons, Co-Founder of Seek Thermal

When the opportunity to collaborate with Raytheon presented itself a few years ago, we knew that our vision of developing, producing and introducing a unique consumer product, the Seek thermal camera, could be achieved. Over the last six months our product has had wonderful validation by press, reviewers and by the market itself, and on February 11th our accomplishment was officially recognized by SPIE and Photonics Media at the Prism Awards ceremony in San Francisco.
The Prism Awards are a leading international competition that honors the best new photonics products on the market, and we are so proud and thrilled to have won. Achieving our dream of bringing thermal imaging to the consumer has been an incredibly rewarding experience, and this honor marks another exciting moment along the way.
Thank you to Raytheon, the Prism Awards, and all the thermal imaging enthusiasts out there who helped us get to this milestone.  We promise to keep working hard to make products that change the way you see the world.
