Mobile Android/iOS Developer
We are seeking an excellent mobile Android/iOS developer to join our creative and energetic product development team. Under the general supervision of the VP of Engineering, this position will be responsible for developing and maintaining the Seek Thermal mobile applications for Android and iOS devices. This position requires a self-driven developer with great initiative, committed to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and ultimately delivering high-quality products.
Translate marketing requirements into design wireframes for thermal imaging mobile devices
Architect, implement, and maintain clean, reusable, robust, and sustainable Java/iOS code
Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application
Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
Thoroughly document and maintain code quality, organization, and automation
Interface with marketing, hardware engineering, quality assurance, and production staff to inform and shape development
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
Excellent programming skills and knowledge of C, Objective-C, Swift and iOS
Excellent programming skills and knowledge of Java, Java NDK and Android
Ability to make decisions, and effectively lead tasks and meet challenging deadlines
Ability to build strong relationships and effectively partner with others
Ability to multi-task in a rapid paced environment
Familiar with Git and Jira software management tools for version control and issue tracking
Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
Strong knowledge of UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
QUALIFICATIONS: (Education and experience)
BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Math, or related field with at least 5 years professional engineering experience. In unique cases, extensive work experience can substitute for BS degree requirements.
