senior product marketing manager

Seek Thermal is “seeking” a top tier candidate for the Senior Product Marketing & Manager role in sunny Santa Barbara, CA. This position will combine the responsibility for planning, defining, and delivering select Seek Branded Consumer product requirements, champion product features, functionality from cradle to grave, and oversee the go-to-market consumer experience and messaging. The position requires the product marketing person to develop the experience from concept through feature requirements and guide into mass production. In addition, this role will identify key opportunities to win with customers, channels, software user experience and other branded marketing efforts. The ideal candidate will have a proven successful record with cradle to grave product marketing and product management for a fast-growing consumer electronics company.


  • Get to know the customer, use cases, and behaviors to create for the market
  • Gather market requirements and translate to useful product requirements
  • Champion the customer’s preferences with business acumen
  • Identify and assess opportunities; evaluate which opportunities to pursue at the right time; and what it takes to succeed
  • Identify customer pain points, collaborate with UX to research possible solutions for improving the customer experience, evaluate new technologies, make recommendations 
  • Own and map the product requirements and champion the product, explaining the vision and benefits
  • Identify key software features and how those integrate with our mobile, desktop, and cloud applications
  • Working closely with UX/UI, distill the experience down into clear, concise software requirements, define the MVP, and manage the requirements through development
  • Cross functionally manage tradeoffs involving features, cost, design, schedule, pricing and product experience
  • Contribute to the overall consumer and commercial Seek Branded product strategy and roadmap – for lifecycle management
  • Attain expert knowledge of competitive and 3rd Party solutions and products
  • Participate in key strategic and tactical meetings for opportunity identification
  • Conduct necessary consumer and prosumer research and testing


  • Proven successful track record with cradle to grave product management and product marketing with cross-over management
  • Must have experience with writing clear marketing requirements documents, product requirements documents and product feature specifications
  • Working knowledge of hardware and software - and understands the relationship between both

QUALIFICATIONS: (Education and experience)

  • BS/BA degree, CS degree or other engineering degree highly recommended
  • 5+ years’ experience in consumer electronics, software applications, consumer products, or wireless product experience
