Director of brand marketing

Seek Thermal is changing the world as you see it.  For the first time in history, we are bringing consumer branded thermal imaging products to a global market.  This is a great opportunity to lead from the ground up and show your growth.  We are look for a high-performance Director of Global Brand Marketing to join our team to oversee the development and growth of the consumer brand. As the head of Brand Marketing you will lead consumer insights research to inform our messaging, positioning, marketing strategy, and planning worldwide. You’ll play a critical role in defining Seeks’ evolving narrative as it plays out across a variety of channels including our website, social, email, paid & earned media as well as through partnerships and events. You will also lead the global brand management in the marketing plan development process and providing leadership to build, grow and operate the marketing team around the world in the customization and local execution of these plans.

As part of the Global Brand Marketing team, this Director will be responsible for overall communications platform and global campaigns across all channels and report directly to the VP of Global Marketing. Key responsibilities include campaign and messaging strategy, data-driven optimization, creative excellence, social, events, training and consulting with channels and markets. This role will be a key leader on the global marketing team.  


  • Champion the global brand idea and provide oversight for consistent expression of overall campaign across all stakeholders, including brand and product initiatives, communications, creative, and internal brand building
  • Further refine elements of communications platform as needed to drive greater consistency
  • Establish optimal global approach to our marketing strategy and communications across all channels
  • Drive cultural strategy development and implementation with the communications platform – includes content (strategy to execution, consumer engagement model definition), media, and program development
  • Train and consult with localized markets and global initiatives on briefs and creative concepts to ensure global consistency
  • Become expert on competitive creative activity as it relates to communications impact
  • Maintain global view of product marketing plans and campaign performance, providing strategic and creative recommendations for optimization globally
  • Lead relationship with creative and outsource agencies
  • Lead the market research to mine key consumer and competitive insights that will guide and inform our marketing strategies around the world
  • Manage media strategy and direct our media partners in the execution, evaluation, and optimization of those strategies against target objectives
  • Lead the global brand management in the marketing plan development process and providing leadership to the marketing team around the world in the customization and local execution of these plans
  • Manage resource requirements (expenditure, planning, etc.) necessary to deliver the marketing objectives
  • Work closely with Channel and Sales leadership to optimize retail / digital distribution strategy, trade marketing, and execution. Provide regular reports relating on the progress of the marketing group towards meeting the commercial and financial goals established for the company
  • Coach, mentor, and raise the team's ability where needed to deliver and exceed expectations

  • Act as a brand evangelist, providing thought-leadership, inspiration and best practices contributing to success of communications
  • Stewardship of creative excellence
  • Optimize through data-driven behaviors, actions, and performance management


  • Develop all guidelines/training tools required in support of communications platform
  • Establish and lead process for agency on-boarding and engagement to further support a consistent communications platform
  • Create assets and tools for localized market activation

QUALIFICATIONS: (Education and experience)

  • MBA or Design degree
  • A minimum of 10 years’ consumer marketing / brand management experience from consumer products, consumer platform products, consumer electronics, advertising agency, or Internet related industries
  • A passion for marketing, design, experience, and the strategic & tactical process
  • A deep understanding of data and attribution metrics
  • Track record of performance excellence, exceeding targets and objectives – in fast paced growth environments
  • Proven solid leadership skills and experience leading successful marketing teams, growth from ground up
  • Strong analytical, planning, and forecasting skills
  • Experience developing and managing budgets, and hiring, training, developing, supervising, and appraising personnel
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and influencing skills
  • Solid experience in the use of market research and its applicability in developing brand / product strategies
  • Travel required
